Hello art lovers and welcome to the Urban Paradise Art Gallery’s blog. As you can see we are having a very special art exhibition from the 6^th of December to the 6^th of January 2015 entitled Save our Spit. The exhibition is being held for artists and members of the public who wish to voice their displeasure with the planned development of the Broadwater and the Spit.

 

For those artists who wish to enter artwork into the exhibition an entry fee will apply.

 

For art works A4 and below the entry fee is $5 per piece.

 

A fee of $10 per piece will apply for those works larger than A4 and the fee for entering sculptures is $10 per piece as well.

All artwork should be entered ready to hang on the galley’s walls.

 

Artists may sell their work by adding a price to it when they enter.

 

The artist will keep 70% of the selling price, with 15% going to Save our Spit and 15% going to the gallery.

 

There will also be two prizes handed out to the winning artists.

The People’s Choice prize will be $150 and the Save our Spit prize will be $250

Entries will be accepted at the Urban Paradise Gallery starting from 10am on the 3rd of December and all art works must be entered by 3pm on Friday 5th of December.

 

Urban Paradise Art Gallery is located in the Galleria on Surfers Paradise Boulevard opposite the clock tower.

 

There is also a cocktail party on the 13th December from 7 to 9pm for artists as well as any interested art lover who may wish to attend.
